As a color, Mauve has made a huge comeback in the last few years. Why? Because it is so pretty! It is so much more approachable than a bright pink or magenta because it is so soft and pale. Which makes mauve eyeshadow a perfect shade to create an subtly-sexy, everyday kind of look.
In today’s makeup look, Chameleon Shimmer is the star. Chameleon Shimmer is a “Duochrome” ShadowSense that shifts from shimmering green to rosy mauve. That’s right. It changes color with the light!
Here, I paired the mauve eyeshadow with a Milk Rose LipSense, and I couldn’t be more in love! What do you think?
Base Face
In this look, I am using Medium Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer as my base layer. But if you prefer fuller coverage, then you could use the MakeSense Foundation in your shade (contact me if you need help color matching).

How to Apply ShadowSense for an Ombré Mauve Eyeshadow Look
***These two shades of liquid eyeshadow seem fairly close in color when you look at the pictures above. However, the Dusk Shimmer applies much lighter which you can see on my wrist in the picture above.***
Step 1: Apply the lighter shade as the base layer by dabbing with your finger all across the lid and up to your brow.
Step 2: Using the dark shade, add a natural smoky eye by applying to the outer corner and then bringing the product inward by dabbing with your finger.
LipSense & Gloss
Milk Rose LipSense
Gemini Sign Gloss
This is my first makeup look using Gemini Sign Gloss, which is a delicate peach nude with a soft shimmer. I love the way it lightened and added shimmer to the more neutral pink of the Milk Rose LipSense.
If you are new to using LipSense the process might seem a bit overwhelming, but remember, this color is going to last ALL DAY! And after you have applied it a few times, you will be a pro.
How to Apply LipSense for Long Lasting Color:
Step 1: Clean your lips and dry thoroughly.
Step 2: Shake LipSense tube well.
Step 3: Open the tube and wipe off any excess product from the applicator wand.
Step 4: With your lips parted place the applicator on one corner of your bottom lip and use a sweeping motion to brush the product on all the way to the other corner. DO NOT sweep back and forth.
Step 5: Use the same technique to apply the product to your top lip.
***Allow lips to dry for 5-10 seconds in between coats***
Step 6: Repeat steps 4-5 two more times (3 coats on each lip).
Step 7: Apply gloss all over lips to set in your gorgeous new color! (Apply gloss as often as necessary)
